The start signal sounds during the traditional summer party
Catnic Germany ventures into new dimensions
The positive development in Germany as well as the continuously growing share of international business have encouraged Catnic Deutschland GmbH to build up its own high-performance production at its headquarters in Sinsheim.
Now also “Made in Germany”
Since the end of July 2018, Catnic has been producing its most important products on seven assembly lines on site in Sinsheim. The official opening ceremony took place on 20 July 2018 in the form of a summer party for employees and their families. But even Jörg Albrecht, mayor of the city of Sinsheim, and Alexander Speer, representative of the community of Dühren, stopped by to personally get an idea of the developments at Catnic – and they weren’t disappointed!
New production capacities to meet the rising demand
“Due to the consistently robust state of the construction industry in Germany and many other European countries, establishing a second production site for the Catnic group became inevitable in order to satisfy the significantly increased demand”, Udo Berg, General Manager at Catnic Deutschland GmbH explained. Germany lent itself as a location because it offered the opportunity to acquire a suitable machine park and quickly find suitable production space in the immediate vicinity of the administrative department and the warehouse. “We are glad that we were able to take this step together with our parent company in Wales, as it allows us to address customer wishes more flexibly and to respond to peaks in demand better.”
Plenty of praise and well wishes from the top-level management
Mayor Jörg Albrecht and community representative Alexander Speer are happy that Sinsheim was chosen for the expansion. They toured the new production halls with interest and had the individual production steps explained to them in detail. To make this possible, one of the assembly lines was turned on once again in the evening. Both highlighted Catnic’s significance as an important and socially-minded employer in the region. They wished the company every success in realising its plans for the expansion.
Safe, sustainable, and employee-friendly
The production process has safety features in place that comply with international standards as well as meeting high demands in terms of ecology. Electricity for the machines stems exclusively from hydropower, and, as in the storage areas, LED lighting is used consistently. Production will initially be run with single shifts, for which six new employees will be hired. Once everything is running smoothly, two-shift operation will begin. At this point, the number of employees will again increase significantly.
Catnic – a leader in quality and innovation
At Catnic, compliance with the highest quality standards is strictly controlled, and the product range is continuously improved as a result of constant dialogue with traders and processors. Catnic is a founding member of Europrofiles, a professional association of the leading plaster profile manufacturers that drives quality and technical innovation in this area.
Catnic Deutschland GmbH stands for excellent, high-quality building components that make a major contribution to the success of processing interior and exterior plaster as well as dry-construction and full heat insulation safety systems. Catnic already ranks among the leading plaster profile manufacturers in Germany and other European countries – with this new dimension, it now has the chance to become the market leader in several regions.
